Social Media Strategy

OVERVIEW

YAMZ World is the art brand of Brayan Montes-Terrazas. Inspired by his culture and identity, YAMZ World artwork and products celebrate community and uplift marginalized groups - loudly proud, politically conscious, bright and bold. When they approached Rome Media Co. for assistance, they needed a full social media strategy that would organize their creativity and keep content consistent, without diluting their tone of voice.

THE CHALLENGE

YAMZ World’s brand purpose and content energy was strong and recognizable, but lacked a solid framework, leaving lots to say without structure.

The goal was to turn all of that bright, colorful expression into a strategy that would propel exposure and scale impact across social media platforms, while keeping all authenticity and edge YAMZ World is known for. We asked ourselves, “How do we clean up creative chaos without also creating boredom or redundancy?”

THE SOLUTION

Rome Media Co. came in and systemized the content disarray by creating four specific and all-encompassing pillars that YAMZ World could springboard off of, blend together and build within to create content that was cohesive and more empowering than ever. Easily-implementable and encouraging creativity, some tools within the strategy included: 

- A tone of voice guide that read true to YAMZ World: something witty, authentic, and emotionally intelligent. 

- A visual rhythm system that kept content feeds more aesthetically methodical, translating chaos into coherence and balance. 

- Playbooks for social engagement and caption frameworks to not only convert followers into a strong, focused audience, but also tell the story the art deserves. 

- A cadence across platforms that supported sustainable growth and engagement for a strong and evolving digital ecosystem.

THE EXECUTION

Through a full brand strategy document, a breakdown of each content pillar with examples of different media (primarily videography and photography,) an in-depth voice guide and caption copywriting framework, and social feed direction, YAMZ World’s vision became focused, their social pages became more clear, and their content more robust and engaging. We knew YAMZ World had a voice and microphone, we just tuned the frequency and provided an amplifier.

By honing in on the boldness of YAMZ World’s art, while also keeping content focused and methodical, the social media strategy provided by Rome Media Co. transformed the brand’s presence into a high-performing machine. One that breathes and flexes as YAMZ World grows, that can help scale as time goes on, and one that will never tone down the voice or dim the color, but only get more people into the show.
